Plaza Court Hotel joins O40 WC as Silver Sponsor
(Kaieteur News) – The Caribbean West Indies Masters Association (CWIMA) recently confirmed Plaza Court Hotel as a Silver Sponsor of the IMC Over-40s World Cup Guyana 2026, providing important accommodation and hospitality support for the tournament.
As Guyana prepares to welcome teams, officials, invited cricket legends, and tournament personnel from around the world, reliable accommodation and responsive local hospitality are essential to delivering an event of this scale. Plaza Court Hotel has worked closely with CWIMA to meet those needs and provide a welcoming base for members of the World Cup family during the tournament.
The IMC Over-40s World Cup brings together 16 international teams for 72 matches across Guyana from October 17 to November 1.
Plaza Court Hotel’s support goes beyond providing rooms. Its cooperation with the organising committee on accommodation planning, guest requirements, and tournament logistics is helping CWMA manage the many moving parts involved in hosting an international competition across multiple venues and regions of Guyana.
CWIMA values partnerships with Guyanese businesses that understand the significance of welcoming the world to Guyana. Plaza Court Hotel’s support directly enhances the experience of international visitors and supports the broader objective of showcasing Guyana as a capable and welcoming host for major sporting events.
“Hosting a World Cup requires much more than cricket grounds. It requires partners who are willing to work with us behind the scenes and help take care of the people who make the tournament possible. Plaza Court Hotel has been responsive and supportive, and we sincerely appreciate the role they are playing in welcoming our international cricket family to Guyana,’ stated Roy Singh – CWIMA Secretary.
