Free dialysis services now available at six regional hospitals

The Ministry of Health has announced that free public dialysis services are now available at the six regional hospitals across Guyana.

The initiative is aimed at making essential treatment more accessible to patients requiring dialysis, while reducing the financial and transportation burdens associated with accessing the service.

The service will be offered at the Lima Regional Hospital, Diamond Regional Hospital, Bath Regional Hospital, No. 75 Regional Hospital, De Kinderen Regional Hospital and Enmore Regional Hospital.

“This expansion represents more than improved healthcare access. It means reduced travel burdens, greater convenience for patients and families, and increased access to life-saving treatment,” the ministry stated in a Facebook post.

Persons requiring dialysis are encouraged to visit any of these facilities to access the service and schedule their treatment sessions.
