The foundation of the historic total was laid by Savory, who carried his bat through the innings to finish on a breathtaking 201 not out off just 123 deliveries.
His knock was an absolute masterclass in power-hitting, featuring 21 boundaries and eight towering sixes.
He was not alone in the onslaught, as Pernell London flayed the academic side’s bowling attack with a 72-ball 106, clearing the ropes four times and striking 10 fours.
The punishment continued relentlessly into the death overs as the lower order capitalised on the weary fielders.
Kanaiya Ramkarran bludgeoned an unbeaten 93 off a mere 40 balls, while Andrew Lyth clubbed a 22-ball 58. Kevon Boodie had earlier set the brisk tone with 34 off 24 balls at the top of the order.
The University of Guyana bowlers had no answer to the carnage, with Andy Ramgoolam and Alex Raghobeer conceding 100 and 99 runs, respectively, from their ten-over spells.
Faced with the insurmountable target of 548, the University of Guyana capitulated spectacularly under relentless scoreboard pressure.
Left-arm spinner Antony Adams was the chief destroyer, returning spectacular figures of 6 for 12 in six overs as he ripped the heart out of the middle order and sent four batsmen back for ducks.
Ameer Mohamed provided superb support with 3 for 17 in his 7.2 overs, while Troy Leitch chipped in with a solitary wicket to breach the defences of Dilshan Latchman.
Only Navindra Isurdeem offered any resistance, top-scoring 22 as the innings rapidly folded in just 20.2 overs, sealing an eye-watering 499-run triumph for the lawmen.
